The number of Australian tourists visiting Bali between January and November 2008 reached 286,998 tourists, which was 15.72 percent of the total of 1,825,448 foreign tourists who visited the “Island of the Gods” between January and November 2008.

Out of a number of incidents, several people died in Kuta beach whilst some others saved during 2008. According to the data from Badung Government, out of all incidents taking place in Kuta beach in 2008, 15 killed in the most famous beach in Bali and 298 others managed to be saved by the lifeguards.

As many as 131,075 foreign tourists arrived at Bali’s Ngurah Rai international airport by domestic and international flights since December 22 to 30, 2008. The number is higher than last year’s record of 125,000 tourists during the same period.
