The number of tourists from Europe was not affected by the “Idul Fitri” day. Jro Gede Karang T Shuarsana, a tourism businessman, said that the number of European tourists stayed in hotels around Nusa Dua and Tanjung Benoa area keep increasing.
“For example in Bali Tropic Hotel, the hotel occupancy rate is 90%. The hotel managemnet must reject other guests because the hotel rooms are fully booked,” he added. The tourists were coming from Germany, France, Russia, and England. The tourists commonly stayed for 10 up to 12 days.
Most of the tourists were enjoyning the beautiful beach and sunbath. The others were visiting the restaurants spread throughout the beach. The tourists were also doing water sports activities such as speedboat or parasailing.
The number of domestic tourists was also increasing but not as much as last year Lebaran. The increase is predicted will happened five days before the Lebaran holiday.
