Art Groups from several countries had confirmed to take part in the Cultural Parade to commemorate the 144th of Negara, the capital of Jembrana regency. Marjono, one of the committee, said “the art groups from other countries will make the parade more interesting and it also could attract tourists.”
The events to commemorate the anniversary will be started on August 25th through September 2nd 2009. The celebration also will hold other events. Marjono said that the committee had given invitation to all regencies in Indonesia and countries throughout Asia.
The theme of the event is “Bhinneka Sandi Adnyana” which means variety lead to one goal. Until yesterday, August 10th 2009, Malaysia, Singapore, China, Japan, and 16 regencies in Indonesia had confirmed that they will participate in the event. The cultural parade is the peak of the celebration.
The parade will be divided into three different events which are cultural parade, art performances, and handicraft exhibition. There is great hope that the event will develop the art and culture and increase the unity in Indonesia.
The art performances will be held on August 14th through September 2nd 2009 which hoined by all participants. The handicrafts exhibition will be held on 25 August through September 2nd 2009. The parade will be held on September 1st and the route will be approximately 1 kilometer.
In addition to the cultural events, the celebration also will be filled with other event which is information technology program. The program leads to cooperation within the participants in information technology.
The program consist of information technology consultation (E-Government) such as making Master Plan E-Government, making information system like SIMDA, poverty monitoring system, SIMPEG, Smartcard application such as J-ID, J-Smart School and training. There is great hope that the system will hepl in conducting the program in each government and with other regencies.
