Six performances were held in the 13th day of the 31st annual Bali Art Festival (BAF) in Art Center Denpasar. The performances started in the morning and carried on until the evening.
The performances were joged bumbung which is popular socialize dance for youngster in Bali. The dance was performed by sekaa joged bumbung Winangun Semara Mandoyo from Jembrana. The performance followed by kerawitan gambang, an instruments used in Pitra Yadnya ceremony or Ngaben.
The gambang was performed by art group from Denpasar in Angsoka stage. Then, there were also pragmentari parade from four regencies in Bali, they were Jembrana, Bangli, Badung and Denpasar.
Made Santha, the head of Art Division in Bali Cultural Department said that the art performances in the evening were wayang kulit performance entitled “Arjuna Pasupati” played by Anom Ranuara from Denpasar.
While in the ardha Candra open stage, there was singing competition. The participants must sing Balinese songs and they come from Badung, Gianyar and Denpasar. The performance was a part of the 220 performances during the PKB. The Bali Art Festival will be closed on July 11th 2009.
